Sarah's Silks Mini May Day Play Silk. Waldorf inspired toy. Limited edition celebration Playsilk

Mini May Day Play Silk

Introducing the Sarah's Silks Mini May Day Play Silk, a stunning collaboration with artist Stephanie Green of Wilded Family. Specifically designed for May Day celebrations, they are in honour of the traditional European festival marking the beginning of summer, usually celebrated on May 1st, roughly halfway between the spring equinox and summer equinox. These Playsilks capture the spirit of this joyous occasion beautifully and are the perfect way to bring the spirit of May Day to life through dancing, twirling, creative expression and celebrating the warmer weather in style.

This limited edition celebration Playsilk comes in three sizes - Mini, Medium and Large

Playsilks are wonderfully tactile, magical toys that children will be drawn to play with time and time again. The simplicity and open-ended nature of playsilks tap directly into the child’s creative potential, allowing children to express their imagination and support their independence.

The possibilities for play are endless, use for dress up, sensory exploration, peekaboo, active play such as dancing or yoga, seasonal tables, small world set ups, pretend play to wrap or carry dolls, fort-building and so much more! It's no wonder playsilks have been a staple in family homes and both Waldorf and Montessori eductaion settings worldwide for over twenty-five years.

Sarah's Silks Mini May Day Playsilks are 53 cm x 53 cm squares, made from gorgeous heavyweight 100% mulberry silk.
