Lanka Kade Minibeast Shape Sorter | Curious Littles Play

This beautiful traditional toadstool shape sorter has 6 individual insects ready to be matched with their corresponding slot; a butterfly, spider, bee, snail, caterpillar and ladybird.

The super chunky insects are perfect for little hands and are printed on both sides with a colourful design showing natural wood grain edges. The toadstool sorter can also double up as a play scene, with the insects being perfect for small world play and even for stacking! Then as your child develops they can be used for learning about each of the insects and how they live.

Play with this shape sorter is beneficial to your littles in so many ways. It promotes size and shape discrimination, colour recognition, concentration and persistence, all while developing those important fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Your child will feel a sense of achievement as they are able to successfully place the pieces in to the tray.

The shape sorter is supplied in an informative box (which is an easy shape to wrap if a gift!) and is the perfect addition to any toy collection.

Founded in 1994 when business partners Upul and Diane returned to the UK having met in Sri Lanka whilst working for the Red Cross. They did not want to lose contact with the country and the people they both love, so decided to set up a small import business to maintain links with Sri Lanka.

Lanka Kade has since grown to become an established business based in the heart of the UK specialising in the design, craft and supply of a distinctive range of educational fair trade wooden toys and gifts for children in both bright bold colours and natural wood finishes.

As they have evolved over the last twenty seven years their ethos has remained the same; to build long-term, sustainable trading partnerships that provide stability and protect local skills.

Lanka Kade have been a proud and active member of BAFTS (The British Association of Fair Trade Shops and Suppliers) since 2001, with their commitment to their producers in Sri Lanka supporting growth and development, whilst ensuring their employees have a sense of job satisfaction and that their employment is valued with good rates of pay, equal opportunities and a safe working environment in coherence with the 10 Principles of Fair Trade.
